Inflammation
With the fall equinox behind us and cooler weather in our midst I would like to touch on a topic many of you have come to me about lately — inflammation!
What Causes Inflammation?
Chemicals that cause inflammation can be found in a number of substances such as cigarette smoke, and foods such as sugar, trans fats, highly refined grains and gluten, booze/alcohol, milk, and additives such and MSG.
How Can I Prevent Inflammation?
GOOD foods and diets to keep inflammation away include a lot of fresh veggies, fresh fruit, nuts, extra virgin olive oil, fish, legumes, beans, and whole grains. Eating the rainbow (colorful fruits and veggies) seems to be key.
